ROMANTIC TIMES CONFERENCE - New York, March
2004
This is a wonderful year for me because I am getting the opportunity
to meet my many dear friends in the United States not once, but
twice.
In March I went to the Romantic Times conference in New York with Penny
Jordan, and while I was there I met the legendary Anne
Hampson, one of the first authors to write for Mills &
Boon. This was an enormous thrill for me, and we became great chums.
The three of us enjoyed afternoon tea in style on several occasions!
Anne was generous enough to give me a copy of the very first Presents
book, and also an early Silhouette Romance, both of which she wrote
well over twenty years ago.
When I reread them they were as fresh and as wonderful as ever.
Thank you Anne!
Here's a picture of Penny and me with Anne, and another lovely
lady, Rosemary Laurey. Rosemary has been writing
Romantica with great success for some time, and has just been signed
by Kensington.
I saw the covers of Rosemary's Vampire novels, and I think they are
two of the most striking covers I have ever seen. If I say the content
exceeds the covers, you know you have to buy them!
And now I'm looking forward to Dallas, where I'll be signing The
Spaniard's Revenge. Shannon Short of
the Romantic Times was kind enough to write: The
Spaniard's Revenge will delight readers... lots of sensuality and
passion with some very moving scenes...
Of course, here in the UK I am especially excited about my August
2004 release, The
Greek's Seven Day Seduction - because I love the story,
and also because it is one of the first Modern paperbacks to sport
the new cover design.
Fantastic work by the design team; a massive thank you to everyone involved!
I'll be sure to collect all the gossip for you in Dallas, as well
as lots of photos for my fantastic web mistress, Wendy Wootton
to show here on my next newsletter in the Autumn.
Let's make it a great summer everyone!
Happy Reading from...
